Consideration:

Step back and take some time to consider whether you want the job before you commit to the employer.

Confirming your acceptance guarantees the job is yours. Usually there are other candidates in the process at this point so ensure you are committed.

Negotiate:

If the offer is not what you were hoping for you may want to think about a counter offer, negotiate, accept or reject the job offer but inform the employer of your decision.

Resign:

The employee who resigns gracefully, gives notice and writes a polite resignation letter will be appreciated.
