Reports to: Sales Manager
JOB OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Executive is responsible for creating and implementing sales strategy, identifying new markets, and conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Revenues & Margins
- Recruitment of new customers within the assigned market and ensuring accurate account opening forms for new customers.
- Meet set sales targets by aggressively ensuring consistent reordering of products and identifying new markets to continuously grow sales.
- Develop and service existing clients through continuous relationship building, and customer service and ensure consistent reordering of products.
- Maintain accounts by ensuring customers pay within the agreed terms, zero bad debts, and resolve customer concerns.
- Prepare action plans, schedules and project the number of contacts to be made to ensure monthly sales target achievement.
- Monitor product performance and provide market feedback/information.
- Maintain sales tools and product promotion materials.
- Reports
Submit clearly detailed follow-up areas and sales reports to the management to keep them informed.
- Customer Service
- Ensure customers receive good customer service in terms of timely complaint resolution and prompt product deliveries.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Achievement of Sales Targets
- Recruitment of new customers
- Collection of debts within agreed terms and zero bad debts.
- Increased sales
- Listing of new store-keeping units.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in business administration/marketing or a related field. A bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in FMCG sales dealing with HORECA, institutions, and schools.
- Strong sales drive, resilient, go-getter, a good communicator with strong organization skills who can work independently under pressure.
- Must be conversant with Nairobi and its environs.
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Fast learner and passion for sales
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
